NEW YORK – Craig F. Starr Associates will present “POP” from February 17 through March 18, 2006 at their Upper East Side gallery.
This exhibition presents works by Roy Lichtenstein, Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, Ed Ruscha, Jasper Johns, and other artists who came to prominence in the 1960’s with their imagery culled from the world of popular culture. Notable works include Lichtenstein’s Melody Haunts My Reverie of 1964 and Ruscha’s Standard Station of 1966. Robert Indiana’s Love sculpture and Oldenburg’s Soft Screw sculpture.
