By embracing the chance occurrence of a stone breaking, Accident became the crowning achievement of Rauschenberg’s earliest prints. This exhibition provides a unique opportunity to compare Accident alongside a proof of the print before the stone broke. This exhibition focuses on Accident, Breatkthough I, and Breakthrough II, all printed from stones broken during the printing process.  Also on view are proofs of the additional stones used in the printing of Breakthrough II
